Aside from being the treasure of the NFB San Antonio Chapter Bryan is a native of south Texas. He grew up in Atascosa. In 1978, He graduated from South West high school. In 1985 He started working for the San Antonio Lighthouse. That was where he was voted Blind employee of the year in 1995 and went on to become National Industries for the Blind: Blind employee of the year in the same year. Bryan attended his first NFB national convention in 2006 held in Dallas Texas and soon after joined the NFB at the launch of their San Antonio chapter in 2007.

Outside the NFB Bryan is the father of 2 wonderful daughters Elisabeth and Amanda Baldwin.
